FAQ

  1. What do you do? We provide private duty care services that allow individuals to remain living in the comfort of their own home while receiving the support and care they need to thrive. Our qualified staff offers a full spectrum of professional home healthcare assistance. We are available to provide assistance around the clock on a short or long-term basis, and even at the last minute. For a full list of services we provide, please visit our service page.
  2. I know I need help, where do I start? You may call us at 561-853-7856 or email us to set up an appointment to discuss your needs. We’re available to talk with you on the phone, in our office, at the hospital or your home – whichever is most convenient for you. In most cases, a Registered Nurse will evaluate your needs initially and explain how we can best serve you. Once you decide to move forward with our services, the Registered Nurse will develop a customized care plan to meet the individualized daily needs of the client. This includes reviewing medical history and physician orders. At this time the RN will also have you sign authorization forms to initiate care.
  3. Will my insurance pay for your services? Insurance policies vary so much that we cannot say for certain which companies will cover our services. However, most Long Term Care policies do cover our services. Traditional health insurance policies are less predictable. However, we are happy to assist you in navigating through the insurance process to determine exactly what benefits you may be able to access.
  4. Does Medicare or Medicaid pay for your services? Medicare and Medicaid do not typically cover the type of services we provide; therefore we are not Medicare or Medicaid providers. If you have Medicare or Medicaid and they do cover home healthcare services, it may be financially advantageous for you to select one of their authorized providers. Should you desire additional care above and beyond what Medicare or Medicaid is covering and/or prevent or delay being admitted to the hospital or an extended care facility, private duty home healthcare may be able to assist you by having a nurse care for you in your home. We are pleased to work in conjunction with any current home healthcare/hospice providers or personal physicians to ensure all your needs are met.
  5. I qualify to receive services from area agency on aging, can I use you as my provider? Yes. We are service providers for www.youragingresourcecenter.org to take advantage of this benefit, simply notify your case manager at area agency on aging that you would like private duty home healthcare as your care provider. They will then notify us and we can initiate services.
  6. Where do you find your employees and how do you screen them? The vast majority of our employees are introduced to us via referrals from our health care industry peers or our current staff. In order to gain employment with us, applicants must have experience providing patient care and also pass a background check, drug test, national sexual offender check, and department of motor vehicle record check. We check a minimum of 2 professional and personal references every time we consider hiring an applicant. Because we expect nothing short of excellence from our employees, we hand pick each and every individual that we invite to be part of the private duty home healthcare team.
  7. How do I pay for services? The individual assuming responsibility for payment of services will sign our contract. Invoices are sent weekly by mail. Payment should be returned to our office by mail or in person within 7 days. A deposit may be requested before starting services. Caregivers are not authorized to collect payment for services. We accept checks only. In the event you are only able to pay with a credit card, please contact our office to see if we can make special arrangements for you. If you have insurance, we will bill your insurance provider directly. If you are an area agency on aging client, we will bill them directly, and you will not receive a bill from us.
  8. What are your rates? Each client will receive an in-home consultation from a Registered Nurse who will develop a personalized plan of care. Hourly rates for caregivers and nurses vary depending on the level of care needed and the hours of care needed. We strive to offer competitive rates without compromising quality of care. For a custom quote, please call our office at 561-853-7856.
  9. What if I need help and the office is closed? We answer our phones 24 hours a day, every day of the week. We know situations don’t always arise during normal working hours. We purpose to accommodate your needs every day and any hour – with or without advanced notice. If you are calling after office hours, and do not get an answer, please leave a message. We check messages frequently after hours and will return your call as soon as possible.
  10. What payment types do you accept? We are pleased to offer services to clients who want to pay privately. In addition, we also accept qualifying private insurance, long term care Insurance as well. Clients if you have Medicare or Medicaid, please see our response to question #4 for more details.
